Chapter 15

After a couple years......

Devon and James got divorced.

James don't know anything about Devon's whereabouts.

James graduated, so is Devon.

Devon and Ivan now lives in US.

James discovered the truth about Ann and broke up with her.

And now, he's waiting for the one he let go.

***
"Are you sure Devon?" Ivan asked her. "Yes. I think I'm finally ready Ivan. I'm ready to face the monsters of my past. So I can move to the future without doubts. To our future," Devon said, smiling.

Ivan became Devon's guardian. The past years weren't easy for her. She cried all the time....

*flashback*
Devon wrapped her arms around her knees. "I loved him more than I realized....." Devon said to no one. She's sitting on the sand, watching the waves. She didn't realized that Ivan was watching her. Ivan came near her and tugged on her elbows. "Let's go swim," Ivan said. "But.... I don't know how to..." Devon shyly admitted. "Then I'll teach you," sabi ni Ivan with a smile.
*end of flashback*

Ivan lifted Devon's feelings when she's down. That's why she's grateful for him. She admits that she couldn't love Ivan like she love him. For now. And Ivan knows it. She doesn't want to be unfair ho Ivan.

The plane landed. Devon and Ivan got off from the plane. "Australia, I'm back....." bulong ni Devon.

James is now busying himself with work. Trying to fill the emptiness inside him with work. His now a successful vice president of their company. Soon, he will be the president. Bot somehow, he doesn't feel happy.

"Come on James! All you've been doing this past years is to work. You don't even have time for yourself anymore!" Sam said one day when he visited James. "You know I need this," matipid na sagot ni James. "It's been what!? Four, five years. Let her go man. Lauren said that she's okay," sabi ni Sam and he regretted it immediately. He shouldn't have told James that. "You have news about Devon!?" tannong ni James while shaking Sam's shoulders. "Uh...." di makasagot si Sam. "Tell me or else...." pagbabanta ni James. He had this crazed look in his eyes. "Fine. But don't tell Lauren, or anybody else for that matter, that I told you," sabi ni Sam at tumango naman si James. "She's fine. last we heard, she's in the US with Ivan," sabi ni Sam. James smiled at the first information but his smile faded when he heard Ivan's name. "So, she's with Ivan. I expected that, but dude, it still hurts you know," James said, tears starting to form in his eyes. "Everyday, I regretted what I did to her. It was too late when I realized my real feelings...." James said. "If you do love her, don't let yourself go James. So one day if she came back, she can see that you've changed. Have some fun, for her sake," sabi ni Sam. James nodded, but he didn't have fun, not one bit.
